There is something for everyone at Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club. Competition is at all levels, from beginners in an arena to pro pool, and low, medium and high goal polo. The Club and its members strive to produce the highest quality product with outstanding fields and facilities, and professional umpiring to ensure equal treatment for all participants. While the competition at the medium and high goal levels is very intense, we strive for a fair and safe outcome for every match and every tournament.
An exhibition polo match was first played at the Santa Barbara Agricultural Park’s 1894 Flower Festival. This match encouraged sufficient local interest in the sport that by 1902, the fledgling Club boasted a 40-member roster.
